What we did
A new build 1100m² single storey ward accommodation being delivered by offsite construction specialist Catfoss Ltd against a challenging timeframe of just 97 days to provide a compliant 28 bed facility.
N&P were invited by Catfoss Ltd to prepare a proposal for design & installation of the following M&E elements of the build:
- Electrical Distribution and services
- LED Lighting
- HVAC Systems including Heat Recovery Ventilation & VRF Air Conditioning
- Plumbing Services
- Full BMS
- Medical Gas Systems
- Nurse Call & Bedhead Systems
- Fire & Security Systems
- TV Distribution
- Structured Cabling/Data Outlets & Cabinets
Project Delivery
Having successfully presented a package of works that met budgetary requirements and fitted seamlessly into the overall project programme, Catfoss awarded N&P the contract for the delivery of the M&E scope within the build.
Through close collaboration with the team at Catfoss to create a design that delivered the scope of works highlighted above, N&P were able to produce designs for approval promptly. This enabled early ordering of materials and affirmed that Catfoss had made the correct choice in appointing N&P, a contractor with extensive experience in delivery of building services in modular construction and clinical settings.
Working closely with Catfoss and their other suppliers in this way ensured materials were in situ when the modular building was delivered to site by Catfoss.
As a result, we were able to complete and commission all M&E installations in just 68 days alongside other trades working on the build, assisting Catfoss to handover an operational 28 bed ward to the Trust in the 97 days they had committed to.
