What we did

N&P were instructed to design and install a full Mechanical and Electrical package to the latest government guidelines for the new modular school building at St Lukes, Salford.

  • Design aspects including the following (Full stage L design, Taken from an existing design completed up to stage C)
  • Lighting to CIBSE design and occupancy sensing, dimming of light fittings to window areas to maximise the efficiency of the lighting plan
  • Emergency lighting
  • Small power and mechanical plant supplies
  • Air conditioning and dirty extract systems
  • Full L1 fire alarm system with integration with existing building
  • Full distribution system including the supply to the building.
  • LG3 lighting and occupancy sensing
  • Emergency lighting
  • Full integration with the existing school with CCTV, Intruder alarm, Access control
  • Co2 sensors for use with opening skylights
  • Heating to main areas by the use of a
  • radiant panels or air conditioning systems
  • Full electrical distribution system including the supply to the building
  • Full Audio visual installation for teaching interactive whiteboards
  • Full ducted extract systems with toilet areas
  • Breathing Building system to classrooms and Hall
